Letters from the front. 1917-1919.

This bound collection of letters, postcards and telegraphs is comprised chiefly of those written by H.M. Appel, and Roswell C. Mower and addressed to William Harold Howell at the American Lithographic Company in Chicago. Appel and Mower, employees of the company, were deployed to France during the later years of the World War I. Most letters were written from France, a handful from the United States.
